Will Have You Cheering
8 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
VHS long-since expired; bring-on Blu-Ray.

Peter Falk, dishevelled here too, sleazy-manager of two seriously-hot 'girls' takes-on a series of very-nasty venue-owners to ensure his tag-team are Number-One.

Love the parts where having won on-the-night though NOT paid he performs a 'stress-test' on venue-owners foreign-car & the consequences of using his 'special' dice.

For the benefit of 'young-uns' Liberachi was a famous piano-player parodied by a now-defunct furniture-store, famous for it's LA Law style song 'See You All In Court'.

Wrong-turn girl gets a chance of living a TV-life
23 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Melannie finds her life as a hooker is much over-rated with a nasty pimp ripping-off his mob-associates & finding herself accused of stealing the missing money.

Escaping to the suburbs she finds life as a future step-mom is just like that portrayed on TV. Helping the son of the bloke she has taken a shine to pass his school-biology presentation her past life catches-up when a former client recognises Melannie & demands her services.

Unaware the stolen money is hidden in the car she is driving Melannie has no way to prove her innocence to her pimps mob-associates or rumoured mob-boss under pressure from the media leading to a life on-the-run.

Very cool movie
23 January 2007
A very cool movie, though a bit slow in places, both for guys & dolls; another movie worth a look. Nicolas Cage was wrongly cast as the hunk interest, he looks & sings for all the world like an American Idol filler-act. Other than this the movie is very enjoyable to watch on ones own, with that special partner or even a girls-night in.

One of a number of time-travel movies PSGM leaves the primary character initially confused with being aware of both the past, in which they are now living, & the future they have apparently left; 13 Going On 30 is a much better example scoring a perfect 10.

PSGM holds together well for an old movie & should form part of your DVD collection.

A jigsaw puzzle with every piece in-place
23 January 2007
Set your phone to silent, gather together some favourite snack-foods with a hot & some cold drinks, & settle-down to an evening of magic & romance. Jennifer is gorgeous as the overnight-adult & Judy is surprising believable as her back-stabbing friend. Some of you may know Judy as the invisible go-for in What Women Want.

Jennifer & Judy are the two hot-shot fashion gurus of Poise magazine under threat in an all-out ratings war. Jennifer is a fish-out-of-water not having lived the previous 17 years & turns to her high-school boyfriend Mark Ruffalo who by now has turned photography from a hobby into his career. Unhappy with her 30s lifestyle Jennifer finds Mark is about to marry somebody else as she tries to save Poise & put-right events leading-up to where she is today. If you buy the DVD the documentaries will delight too; teen & 30 Judy actually look like mom & daughter.
