WARNING!!! Avoid at all costs!! rented a property for 6 months with this company, which changed its name twice while i was a tenant??? didnt deal with repairs and no deposit returned because a carpet needed hoovered!! i was a single parent at the time but Gillian was still happy to illegally withhold my deposit!! tell you what u want to hear, stay clear

A totally horrendous operation!!!!!
Do not deal with this company. We've have issues with 1st Class and Sales fixing problems with our property.
They happily take your cash but you see nothing for that.
1st class let have sent out someone to fix the problem with the bath; however this was fixed to the poorest standard. When I get my own plumber out to fix this problem he laughed at the work they had completed.
I feel sorry for any lardlord using this company; you will be loosing money on your investment with this company. Any potential tenant………DO NOT USE!!!!!.
The attitude and aggression from Lynne is unbelievably poor. No customer service, promises broken.
Don't use!!!!
Please read an listen to this advice, I'm considering legal action as they tried to withhold the deposit & charged an admin free……this is illegal!!!

where do i start with this awful company?
charged £120 'admin' fee at the beginning. this is illegal.
gave a list of things that needed fixed in the property. despite being promised that a handyman would sort these it never happened in the whole 12 months of my tenancy. To add insult to injury they then try to withhold your deposit due to the very same issues being outstanding when you leave. Lynne has a terrible attitude, like a pub barmaid in a rough boozer. No idea of customer service. They also do not put your deposit in the tenant deposit scheme which they are legally obliged to. I've made an official complaint to Glasgow housing and would urge others to do the same if they have trouble getting their deposits back. I may add I am a professional with my own rental properties and whilst I've found some agents to be of very poor standard this one takes some beating. no matter how much you like the property do not be tempted to deal with this firm

Appalled at this letting agent time after time. Fees for every little thing they possibly could possibly charge for. They aren't interested in managing your property in the slightest. We moved in and found a mouldy lasagne in the oven of our flat... not a good start. They promised to come and clean and then sent one person to clean the living room carpet, which after turning up to do, said it was in too bad a state and would recommend replacing it before leaving without doing any work.
We are now locked in a battle with them over the return of our deposit based on the cleanliness of the flat. Even though we can present them with photographs of the flat as it was when we moved in they still suggest that the condition of the flat is our fault... even though the photos we took as we left show a marked improvement in living conditions.
Avoid at all costs. I can't believe the landlord's that they deal with can put up with them and their disorganisation even if none of the above affect them!

WORST AGENTS EVER!
me and my flat mate rented the property over a 6 month lease, not one month went by without having any problems, we called and called and the replies we got back were often rude and agressive ... "what do you want us to do" .. "deal with it yourself" .. the place was infested with maggots when we rented it and we had to spend £70 of our own money to clean it ... had 2 meetings at their office ... the manager lynne is aggressive and extremely bad customer service .. thrwoing her weight around to get the answers she wanted. we left the property 3 months ago after making substanctial upgrades to it .. painted, istalled floating shelves and left a lot of furniture .. cabinates and tv units etc .. these were all agreed to be acceptable changes with the landlord .. when we left they then stated we had to pay for changes .. absolute joke of a company !!
PLEASE IF ANYONE IS A PROSPECTIVE RENTER, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!
they also charge you admin fees ... which is illegal !

What agent could do to change your mind?
Being polite and having a little common courtesy would help 1st Class Lets a great deal. They would also benefit from actually resolving problems reported to them instead of ignoring them, and calling customers back when they say they will regardless of whether or not they want to.

Avoid 1st Class Lets!
The staff are unhelpful and often rude. They continually say they will call you back but never do (when i called again to ask why nobody had called me back, I was told "she obviously doesn't want to speak to you" !!! :O ). Problems with the property which are reported to them are often ignored (we waited 3 months for someone to repair our washing machine). They are not contactable outside of office hours (including weekends) as their "emergency" number goes straight to voicemail. Furthermore they charged us an illegal admin fee at the start of our tenancy (we were unaware at the time that it was illegal) and now refuse to refund it resulting in us having to take them to court.
Luckily, we are no longer dealing with 1st Class Lets and are dealing directly with our Land Lady instead, but having spoken to her, she has nothing good to say about them either.
Save yourself a lot of hassle and don't even bother considering 1st Class Lets!

I have used this agency now for 3 properties that I let and I have only ever had good dealings with them. All the girls are extremely polite, helpful and more importantly keep me up to date with any issues good or bad that exist with my properties. Anyone with experience in this market will understand that lettings is not as easy as some people seem to think it is. With so many variables it's important to use a company who know what they are doing and are not afraid to tell you bad news like a repair for example so it can be rectified quickly for the best interests of you the owner and more importantly the tenant as well as the good news when the rent gets paid or a new properly vetted tenant is found. It's obvious looking at the negative reviews that these are being placed maliciously probably by other agents in the area. As a landlord, I can fully recommend this agency if you are looking for a professional service and all of the girls in the office are great to deal with.

I'm an owner in a tenement block, first class lets (dont know how they came up with that name) have an rent the flat above. This flat constantly leaks into mine. no technician sent out to check the issue. just abuse from Lynne the facilities manager. She is offensive, arrogant and rude and gave a reason why they would not as 'because that's how it is' very professional Lynne....Pathetic
They would not contribute towards a communal repair, the other agents in the block paid immediately , thankfully I contacted the land lord directly of flat and getting payment from him.
Hopefully cowboys like these letting agents will go out of business.
DO NOT USE!!!!!!!

This agency is terrible. The staff and manager are rude. They are unhelpful. Obtuse, and utterly useless. Bullying and lying is their day to day method of customer service. You would expect a person to be bright and welcoming on the phone and give their name, this never happens. Asking questions and getting information is seen as a customer being a problem. Well that is the impression I get every time I ask for details or have to get a matter attended to.
I would not recommend anyone to use this agency. All I want is people to be pleasant and helpful. This agency is the complete opposite
